Dream Come True

The last few days have been amazingly full of fun and love. All 10 of us Niclasens are under one roof!! Craig, Claire, Ellie and Rebekah joined us for the last few days of December. Ryan, Kara, Noah and Selah flew across the ocean on January 1. What fun to all be together for a short period of time.

We chose to have a late Christmas celebration, including all the various traditions that became part of our family as the years went by - like sitting on our bed to explore what is in the Christmas socks and then having Maple Coffee Twist for breakfast.

Yea, a bottle of Cheese Whiz from Canada!! What a treat! It is crazy but I think that is the food that I miss the most here!

Duck for our "Christmas Dinner."

Putting the ‘croc’ board, that we had made in the Philippines, into good use, brought back fun memories.

Fun time around the dinner table after the kids were all asleep.

Now Ryan and Craig are in Birmingham for a few days with the goal of installing a new kitchen in Craig and Claire’s home. Although we all miss them here, we are thankful for this time that they have to work together. The day before they left, they put up a new fence for us in our back yard.

Meanwhile I am having a great time with my ‘daughters’ and grandkids. It has been so much fun having the 4 grandchildren all together and seeing them interact with each other. We’ve had lots of fun in our back yard, going for walks, playing games, painting, bath time and of course reading books.

What a precious time you've had together! I loved the pictures. The grandbabies are all so beautiful and growing so quickly. And the rest of you look pretty good too... :-) Miss you all!
