Lindbergs

Ragnar and Kari have been friends since they were little boys. For a short period in their preschool years, they lived in the same house - one family upstairs and the other downstairs. They spent a lot of time together then and have been friends ever since. Each time we are in the Faroes they invite us to their home for a great time of catching up on the last few months or years. They have been very supportive of us in our ministry and we always enjoy being with them. So we were very excited when we received an email from them saying that they would be in England this summer and would be able to come visit us! Yeah, our turn to have them in our home had finally come!

A few hours after Craig and Claire and the girls left, we were meeting Kari and Maria at the train station. Craig and Claire had lunch with us - Kari and Maria joined us for supper.
Two days didn’t give us loads of time, however besides giving them a tour of our campus, enjoying an evening with another Faroese family here, having long conversations at the breakfast table, going out for Kari’s birthday and showing them a few things in our neighbourhood, we were able to spend a day in Lincoln. A tour of the Cathedral and walking up and down those narrow streets, peeking in a few shops and stopping for a good cup of English tea with a scone never gets tiring.

It seemed like before we had even blinked an eye we were back in the car and on our way to the train station again. We were so happy Kari and Maria were able to come. We knew we needed to focus on the great visit we enjoyed with them and not how short it was. We just trust they will be able to come back sometime soon and stay longer next time.
