Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! Christ is Risen!!

While we were enjoying our Easter week-end here with our new neighbours, our Kankanaey friends were hosting a Conference in the village where we lived with them for many years. We thought of them often, wishing we could sneak in on them!!

We could just picture the believers getting ready for the many folk coming from other villages to join them for a few days. Lots of food preparation, scheduling the meetings and finding a place for everyone to sleep. Since their small church building could not hold the crowd, they put up a make shift meeting place among the pine trees. We are sure there were lots of happy times and rejoicing with each other as they shared how God has been working in their lives since they were last together. Having a letter read to the group from us let them know that our thoughts were with them.

This week our mission’s quarterly magazine needed to be put in envelopes and sent out. Students usually take care of this on their work detail, but since most of them are home for the holidays, a bunch of us staff got together for a few hours and took care of it. A fun time of fellowship.
