Our time with Ryan, Kara, Noah, Selah and Drew flew by so quickly. We came back across the ocean with lots of great memories of our fun times with them though.
Only Kara knew that I was coming to Canada with Ragnar. I wanted to surprise Ryan. So he and the kids drove to the airport thinking they were just picking up their dad and Abbi. When Noah saw me with Ragnar, he ran over to his mom to ask her if I was going to go home with them too!! I am so glad that I could - that would have been a loooong flight just to say hello and good bye at the airport!!
It was Ragnar's first time to see Ryan and Kara's new home. I had seen it in February, but it was just a walk through as the former owners were still living there. Ryan has done a FANTASTIC job of fixing it up - a new kitchen, dining room, bathroom as well as laundry room. What a guy - we are proud of that young man!!
While we were there, Ragnar helped Ryan put in under floor heating in their basement. They spent many hours working together on that project, and we recently heard from Ryan that he has turned it on now and is pleased with the way it is working.
Ryan's boss lent us his Smart Car to use for our time there. How generous of him!!
Lots of fun driving it too!!
We are thankful that we were able to attend David and Lindsey Baker's wedding, in London. We were only in Canada for one week-end so the timing was perfect.
We were so happy that it also meant we were able to see our super-duper friends, Peter and Kathy Baker - parents of the groom. We really miss them, so are glad for even a few hours, now and then.
A day at the zoo, along with the Doyle family - Kara's younger sister.Noah told me that his cousins (Eva, Annika, Audra and Ivy) were his best friends.
Ryan and Kara watching a Hippo Demo with Selah and Drew.
We were able to take turns feeding the giraffe.
Ragnar's turn
and then brave little Selah's!
Noah having lots of fun.
Drew was happy to go along with all that we were doing.
And Omma just loved it when he fell asleep in my arms.
