Refresher Course

We are thankful for the amazing time we enjoyed at our annual Refresher Course this summer. The name says it all - a time to be refreshed.

We enjoyed getting to know some folks whose names we had been hearing for years.

As well as reunited with friends whom we haven't seen for a long, long time.

Our friend from Belgium leading a great Ladies evening together.
Fun games...

followed by a very encouraging message from our German friend whom we had worked with in the Philippines for many years.

One day we went on an excurtion to Scarborough. A song we learned in school about the Scarborough Fair came to my mind many times that day.
Scenic town built on the side of a hill, near the water.

Lots of people were roaming the streets that beautiful sunny day.
The handsome guy I hung out with for the day!!

Enjoying a ride on a Pirate Boat.

And then walking up the hill to the castle at the top.
Lobster traps always remind me of Nova Scotia.

Someone sure had fun playing in the sand!!
At the top of the city, looking out to sea - daydreaming of the Faroe Islands???
