- Filipino night - an evening for those interested in learning more about the Philippines- Filipino food - lumpia - adobo - pancit canton - bananas - coffee - 2 ladies offered to come over early and help with the cooking which was greatly appreciated
- Filipino eating style (our tribal area) - sitting on the floor while learning the method of using your thumb to direct food into your mouth from your hand, otherwise known as ‘eating with your fingers’. We moved all of our living room furniture to our garage for the evening to give us more floor space.
- Filipino geography - while we were enjoying a cup of coffee and munching on cracker nuts, Ragnar shared the ‘needs list’ for more missionaries in the Philippines, showing them the respective areas on the map he had hung on our living room wall. Both support workers as well as folks to join tribal works are in demand.- Filipino question and answer session - lots of questions followed and a good discussion on various aspects of working in Asia. 
As the first few people started to leave someone suggested we build a fire in our back yard. Good idea - we cuddled around that fire for a couple of hours, telling stories of life in our tribal village.

(We also roasted marshmallows and made ‘smores. Shhhh - don’t tell anyone, ‘cause that is not Filipino.)
