R is for Relatives

We love our Faroese family, and are thankful that we see most of them each time we are in the Faroes.
Ragnar's mom and dad still live in the home they built when they were first married 70 years ago.!!  They have an apartment in their basement which they rented out for many years.  Since their youngest son got married they have kept the apartment for him and his family to stay in when they are in the Faroes.  How spoiled can we get?!?!?
Ragnar has one older sister and one older brother.
(That explains why he is so spoiled!!)
His sister and her husband, Karolina and Fischer, built their house about a 3 minute walk from her parents.
They have 3 children -
Eydbritt and her husband, Danjal, have 5 children and are just a tunnel drive away, in the village of Lerwick.
John Erik and his wife, Soley, have 3 children and live about an hour's drive from Klaksvik.
Susanna and her husband, JP, have 3 boys.  At the moment they are in Denmark while he is studying.
Ragnar's brother and his wife, Olavur and Margith built their home about a 5 minute walk from his parents.
They have 6 children who are close in age to Ryan and Craig.  They spent countless hours playing together during our first couple Home Assignments.
At the moment in order for most of them to have a visit though, someone needs to hop on an airplane.
Eivind lives in Klaksvik.
Isn't it a beautiful view from Paula's living room?
Paula and her husband Albin, and their 3 children, built a house there too.
At the moment -
Nicolina is working in Sweden
Pol is working and studying in Denmark

Elin is working in Norway
Hannah is working in Australia.

Our times in the Faroes often overlap though which we are thankful for.  Their ability to communicate in English continues to amaze me.  I like to use that as my excuse for not knowing much Faroese.

We also have tons of cousins and a few aunts and uncles who still close by.
